To undertake a crucial role in the development lifecycle within the Sabio professional services.  Working closely with software designers, continuous improvement lead , project, and product teams to understand what each product is meant to do, its key features taking into account user cases. To define, create and evolve quality assurance/ test processes within the professional services team.

Ensuring consolidation and review of accurate documentation and recommendations for improvements to current documentation within the development team. You will be managing a team of test leads and testers , introducing  and maintaining testing strategies and adherence to these in  all aspects of the development and project lifecycle. 

Creating and maintaining automated testing processes to ensure metrics can be met.

Responsible for measuring success of the process and increase of quality i.e., reduction in defects within the testing process.

Review and recommend other areas of improvement need across the PS community. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Defining test processes working with the test team to identify the possible opportunity for improvements.
  • Leading a team of test leads and testers.
  • Review and analyse requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing input to possible improvements opportunities.
  • Review and develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Review and recommend lab/testing environments and possible gaps to allow supportive business case to drive future testing capability.
  • Define success measurements of quality assurance e.g., reduction of “bugs” in unit testing or defects with customers.
  • Review and implement defect tracking from customer UAT to allow trend analysis of where we have repetitive bugs/ defects measure how good our code is.
  • Gain feedback from customer retrospectives and project surveys on possible implantation trends for improvement opportunities.
  • Engagement with Product team on Sabio products and feedback processes between both teams , attending any product forums on offer.
  • Working  with the continuous improvement lead in terms of improvement opportunities feeding a pipeline of work. 

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • A Proven Line manager with experience of managing multiple disciplined teams , developing and coaching direct reports.
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance / Test /  professional services arena.
  • Strong knowledge of software Test and quality methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Reasonable technical knowledge of contact centre technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Excellent knowledge Agile and delivery methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills both internally and with customers.
Desirable skills, experience & knowledge
  • Familiarity with platform monitoring solutions and concepts.
  • Familiarity with software deployment methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of SQL database administration
  • Application and solution troubleshooting experience
  • Contact Centre industry trends, both operational and technical
